The Edge On Folk is broadcast every Saturday from 8am to noon, Pacific Time, on CiTR fm 101.9 in Vancouver, and live on www.citr.ca < wherever you are. The show has been hosted by Steve Edge, more or less every week since June 1985! It is now syndicated on CHIR fm on Saltspring Island one week later on Sundays at 10am, and Wednesdays at 5pm. A Sad & Beautiful World: While oligarchs, sexual predators, gangsters and thugs are destroying the planet, I look out upon a beautiful world. I hear music that inspires and enriches us. I want to share this music far and wide, but it all feels very scary right now. Regime change must surely happen, ASAP, starting with the USA, and Israel. It probably won't happen. Soon, if ever. If we have to go, we will go down singing.

This show was also inspired by the new issue of Songlines Magazine, with a few songs from the latest accompanying CD download, and more tracks from CDs I chose to download having read about them in the magazine. I also featured many of the performers at this weekend's Festival du Bois, an annual celebration of Francophone culture out here in BC. Plus the customary array of local concert previews / reviews,
